We are\u00a0settled in the most central position we could, so you never have to be too far away from your temporary\u00a0home,\u00a0nor the sights. Everybody else is in the heart of the city anyways. \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Not many know, but Budapest has 2 old towns: Buda and Pest. We had to choose one, so we are in the old town of Pest, parallel to\u00a0the main tourist jaunt, V\u00e1ci street, very close to the Central Market Hall where you can face everything what is called food and folk.\u00a0The green Liberty Bridge is next to the market, leading to the world famous Gell\u00e9rt thermal baths and to the top of the Gell\u00e9rt Hill and the\u00a0<\/em><em>Citadella where you can admire\u00a0the whole city in every direction. If you don&#8217;t even cross that bridge, you can sit on the Danube banks, drinking your favourite beverages\u00a0while watching the boats passing and the paint dry. On your left hand the Liberty Bridge, on your right hand the Elizabeth Bridge from the other side the Citadella and the mighty Buda Castle will look back at\u00a0you and you will be surrounded by the most beautiful sights of the city.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There are of course sights to be seen further away, but with our nearby public transport connections (trams, buses, trolley buses, metros, boats), that will be a breeze.\u00a0They all stop few minutes away from us:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Trams<\/strong>: 2, 2A, 47, 47B, 48, 49. <b>Buses:\u00a0<\/b>5, 7, 8,\u00a015,\u00a0107, 110, 112, 115, 133, 178, 233, 239.<b> Metro:<\/b>\u00a0V\u00f6r\u00f6smarty square <span style=\"color: yellow;\">(M1)<\/span>, Astoria <span style=\"color: red;\">(M2)<\/span>, Ferenciek Tere <span style=\"color: blue;\">(M3)<\/span>,\u00a0K\u00e1lvin T\u00e9r and F\u0151v\u00e1m t\u00e9r <span style=\"color: green;\">(M4)<\/span>. <strong>Trolley<\/strong>: 83. <strong>Boats<\/strong>: 11, 12, 13.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>One reason that Budapest is a great city to see, is that walking around here makes you feel like you are somewhere that really lives, not just pretends to for the tourists.
